Backup

How protected is your office from something as simple as a failed Hard Disk Drive?  Did you know that over 1 in 30 Hard Drives fail in any given year?  That’s just in our client pool.  We have solutions that protect small businesses from catastrophic data failure, including fire, flood or theft by protecting their data on and off-site.

Using a RAID5 Backup Array at our office location we can provide the best possible disaster recovery (or backup co-location) called remote or off-site backup.

  • This means NO data loss and NO downtime.  Your offsite backup will work as long as your internet and our internet service works.  In 2 years, our internet connection has been down 9 hours, so we’re confident in its reliability.
  • You get Daily Backups that allow you to go back to specific points in time for versions of files that may have accidentally been overwritten
  • Should a disaster occur, we are local so you don’t have to wait for your entire data store to come back over the internet.  We can restore things locally and then bring you a Hard Disk with the majority of your files on it.
  • This system is designed to back up Servers, so Exchange and SQL backup ability is included
  • You get email alerts as to whether or not your backup completed (the system monitors itself so you can rest assured)

So what next? What’s the bottom line?

We set up the software at your site, run an initial backup on site and then bring that initial backup back to our storage server so that your system only sends changes (or deltas) from that point forward.

In tech time, this runs about 4 hours and the cost will be somewhere around $500 to get you all setup.

Then, usually paid quarterly, we bill you for the storage offsite and the software based on the amount of storage you use.

Our prices are as follows

Amount of total storage
(compressed: usually 2 to 1)
Price per month
($USD)
80GB $50
160GB $80
200GB $120
over 200GB negotiable

This is one of the best moves we have made as a vendor and one of the smartest moves a company can make for worry-free data insurance.  It’s affordable, reliable and offsite… everything a GOOD backup should be.

What if your business doesn’t need remote backup but still needs an affordable backup?
If you are not running servers or don’t need an off-site backup solution but still want to backup some of your important files from a Vista or Win XP system, there are inexpensive and thorough solutions that we have for you using External Hard Disk Drives in your office.
